Profound Change. Clear Direction. Deep Work.

I work with high-functioning adults navigating periods of transition — many in midlife — who feel stuck in patterns they understand, but can't seem to change.

You may have insight.
You may have done therapy before.
You may know exactly where your patterns come from.

And still find yourself repeating them.
That's where this work is different.

Recognition

This may feel familiar.

You're not alone. And you're not stuck.

You're patterned. And patterns can change.

The work

A Different Way of Working

This is intentional, depth-oriented work that goes to the root of what's keeping you stuck — so real change can happen. Rather than circling the same insight, we work directly with the parts of you that hold these patterns in place.

I draw on experiential and emotionally focused approaches — including AEDP, CSRT, and somatic awareness — tailored to what you actually need. So you don't just understand yourself better — you begin to experience yourself differently.

About Dr. Tubero

Hi, I'm Dr. Adrian Tubero.

I'm a psychologist and the founder of Empowered Mind. My work is depth-oriented, experiential, and emotionally focused — integrating AEDP, somatic awareness, and emotionally focused psychotherapy into a process that's tailored to what each person actually needs.

A significant thread of my practice involves Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT) — an experiential approach developed by SueAnne Piliero that I've trained in extensively and weave into an individualized therapeutic process. But the work is always broader than any single modality.

A significant part of my work is with individuals navigating midlife — supporting them through identity shifts, relationship changes, and deeper questions of meaning.

This spring, I'm also holding a small 6-week group for women in this stage — The Midlife Shift →

Scope

What I Work With

I work with adults who are:

  • Struggling with long-standing emotional patterns
  • Facing anxiety, burnout, or life transitions
  • Emotionally intelligent and self-aware — but still stuck
  • Ready to go beyond insight into felt, lasting change

I offer:

  • Ongoing individual psychotherapy
  • Focused, time-limited work for specific concerns
  • Periodic check-in sessions for returning clients

I do not offer:

  • Couples counseling
  • Substance abuse treatment
  • Crisis intervention
While I don't offer couples therapy, I do work deeply with relationship dynamics — including attachment wounds, betrayal, disconnection, and trust repair.

Questions

Frequently Asked

CSRT is a focused, experiential approach developed by SueAnne Piliero to help individuals access and shift deeply held emotional patterns. It works at the level of felt experience — not just conversation — to create real, lasting change. It's one of several approaches I integrate, depending on what you need.

Traditional talk therapy often works primarily at the cognitive level — understanding what happened and why. This work goes deeper. Drawing on AEDP, CSRT, and somatic awareness, we work at the emotional and bodily level where patterns actually live. Insight is a starting point, not the destination.

This work is for self-aware, motivated adults — often in midlife — who feel stuck despite having done significant personal work. It's especially well-suited for those who have plateaued in more cognitive or insight-based therapy, or who want to go deeper than talking has taken them.

I do not accept insurance. Superbills are available so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement from your provider. Fees are discussed during the consultation call.

It depends entirely on what you're working on and what you need. Some people do focused, time-limited work around a specific concern. Others engage in ongoing depth therapy over a longer arc. We discuss this in our initial consultation and revisit it as the work evolves — there's no one-size-fits-all structure.

After you submit the inquiry form, I'll review it and reach out within a few business days to schedule a brief consultation call. That conversation gives us both a chance to get a sense of fit — what you're looking for, whether this approach makes sense for where you are, and what working together might look like.

"Not therapy forever — just enough to change what hasn't been changing."
